Decorative Coat/Gown Rack

This is an elegant rack for coats or gowns. The inset image is by the celebrated Scottish artist Charles Rennie MackIntosh. The form of the rack echoes some of the design motifs that were current in the time of Mackintosh and the Glasgow Style. The hooks are antique brass. Mirror plates are fitted at each side for wall hanging.

Wall Mirror

The mirror a has a natural pippy oak frame. The mirror aperture is formed with a semi-elliptical curve at the top edge, and radiused corners all round. This shape subtly echoes similar forms often found in articles from the Art Nouveau era. Mirror plates are fitted on each side for wall hanging.

An unconventional picture frame in elm, exploiting the natural waney edge of the material to frame the image. Also unconventional in that the glass is flush to the surface of the frame material.
